Disclosed are multipoint call terminals and a method for switching from a point-to-point call to a multipoint call on the terminal. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the multipoint call method for switching from a point-to-point call to a multipoint call during a point-to-point call between a first terminal and a second terminal comprises the following steps of opening a conference room for a multipoint call in the first terminal; transmitting a multipoint call switching request to the second terminal from the first terminal; and switching, by the first terminal, from the point to point call with the second terminal to a multipoint call when a response to the multipoint call request is received from the second terminal.
