<p>The present invention relates to a cylinder balancing device and method by controlling maximum combustion pressure (Pmax) of a dual fuel engine using oil and gas. The present invention relates to a cylinder balancing method in a gas operation mode of a dual fuel engine, comprising the steps of (S501) receiving a sensing signal for combustion pressure from combustion pressure sensors of each cylinder; (S502) calculating Pmax of each cylinder from information on combustion pressure of each cylinder; (S503) determining whether Pmax of each cylinder reaches the target Pmax (Pmax-limit); (S505) advancing or retarding the timing of gas injection of the cylinders until Pmax of all cyinders reaches Pmax-limit by comparing the Pmax of each cylinder and the Pmax-limit of each cylinder and extending or shortening the duration of injection (DOI) of gas according to stages; (S510) determining whether the indicated mean effective pressure (IMEP) of each cylinder reaches IMEO-tg; and (S512) advancing or retarding the timing of pilot injection until IMEP of all cylinders reaches IMEP-tg.</p>
