Revenue stamps (2) for cigarette packets are prepared by a method that involves decoiling a first strip of adhesive material (5) from a first roll (4) by means of a first roller (8), and decoiling a second strip of non-adhesive material (7) from a second roll (6) by means of a second roller (9). These same decoil rollers (8, 9) simultaneously pinch the two strips (5, 7) together so that they bond to form a single composite strip (14) presenting an adhesive surface with selectively placed non-adhesive areas; the strip (14) prepared in this way is cut into a succession (17) of separate leaves, each providing a single stamp (2). |
