<p>A vehicle black box of the present invention comprises a camera module for photographing images; an inner storage unit which stores images input from the camera module; an accident detecting unit which detects a vehicle accident; and an outer storage unit which converts an image stored in the inner storage unit into a relatively low-quality image. When the accident detecting unit detects an accident, the image stored in the inner storage unit is stored in the outer storage unit. Accordingly, high-quality images (high frame rates and high-resolution) are stored in the inner storage unit for a certain time and relatively low-quality images (low frame rates and low-resolution) are stored in the outer storage unit. When an accident is detected, the high frame rate images stored in the inner storage unit is stored in the outer storage unit for a certain period of time before/after an accident. Therefore, an accident situation can be accurately determined.</p> |
