The connection fitting (4) has a fuel line connection (5) and a socket (12) for a plug (7) provided with electrical contacts (6) for connecting the electric motor of the fuel pump to a current network, the connection fitting and/or the plug made of a fuel based material and provided with cooperating interlocking elements facilitating their pre-assembly. The plug has a peripheral edge (13) fitting into a corresponding recess (14) in the socket for providing a seal between the plug and the socket.
