摘要 A liquid crystal display apparatus including: a liquid crystal panel which includes a device substrate, a counter substrate arranged to face the device substrate, and a protruded section in which the device substrate protrudes from an end portion of the counter substrate; a lighting system which includes an optical sheet arranged on a side which is opposite a light emission side of the liquid crystal panel; and a first frame portion which supports an edge of the protruded section of the device substrate and includes a protruded plate section that protrudes between the device substrate and the optical sheet, wherein the first frame portion includes a first stage section which faces a side end surface of the device substrate and a second stage section which is arranged between an edge of the protruded plate section and the first stage and which faces an outline side of the optical sheet.

A liquid crystal display apparatus comprising: a liquid crystal panel which includes a device substrate, a counter substrate arranged to face the device substrate, a frame-shaped seal material configured to bond the device substrate to the counter substrate, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the device substrate and the counter substrate in a region surrounded by the frame-shaped seal material, and a protruded section in which the device substrate protrudes from an end portion of the counter substrate; a lighting system which includes an optical sheet arranged to be overlapped on a side which is opposite a light emission side of the liquid crystal panel; and a first frame portion which supports an edge of the protruded section of the liquid crystal panel and includes a protruded plate section that protrudes between the protruded section of the liquid crystal panel and the optical sheet, wherein the first frame portion is provided with a first surface as a first stage section which faces a side end surface of the device substrate and with a second surface as a second stage section which is arranged between an edge of the protruded plate section and the first stage section in a plane view from a normal direction of a surface of the liquid crystal panel and which faces an outline side of the optical sheet.
