<p>PURPOSE: A system and method for recovering waste heat from an engine are provided to transfer the waste heat from the engine to an auxiliary power module through controlling the flow pressure of a heat transfer fluid. CONSTITUTION: A system for recovering waste heat from an engine includes a waste heat supplying part (100), a waste heat housing part (300), a first heat transferring line (200), a second heat transferring line (400), and a pressurizing pump (500). The waste heat supplying part transfers the waste heat from the engine to outside through heat exchange. The waste heat housing part receives the waste heat from outside, and supplies the waste heat to a waste heat consuming unit. A heat transfer fluid flows inside the first heat transferring line. The first heat transferring line receives the waste heat from the waste heat supplying part, and supplies the heat transfer fluid to the waste heat housing part. The second heat transferring line transfers the waste heat to the waste heat housing part in order to move the heat transfer fluid to the waste heat supplying part. The pressurizing pump increases and decreases the flow pressure of the heat transfer fluid circulating along the first and the second heat transferring line.
