<p>The present invention relates to a device for deleting the data of a data storage medium and a method thereof capable of completely deleting the remaining data of the data storage medium which is installed in such as a computer or the like. The device for deleting the data of the data storage medium comprises a supply unit which supplies the data storage medium; a scan unit which scans the position of a housing fixing bolt installed in the data storage medium; a worktable which removes the bolt by using the position information scanned by the scan unit; a vacuum absorption unit which separates the housing of the data storage medium in which the bolt is removed; a heating unit which heats the data storage medium in which the housing is separated; and a transferring unit which transfers the data storage medium from the scan unit to the heat unit. The method for deleting the data of the data storage medium comprises a step for supplying the data storage medium; a step for scanning the position a housing fixing bolt of the data storage medium; a step for removing the bolt by using the scanned position information; a step for separating the housing from the data storage medium; and a step for heating the data storage medium in which the housing is separated.</p> |
