Provided are a parking management system and a parking fee payment method capable of issuing a parking ticket when the number recognition of an entered vehicle is failed and paying a parking fee by using the issued parking ticket. The parking management system of the present invention includes an entrance device at each entrance of a parking place, an exit device at each exit of the parking place, a parking fee calculator everywhere in the parking place, and a parking place management server. The entrance device issues the parking ticket when an error occurs in the recognition of a vehicle number. A driver is able to pay the parking fee by using the parking ticket even when the error occurs in the recognition of the vehicle number and correct the vehicle number having the recognition error during the parking fee payment. According to the present invention, even when the error in the recognition of the vehicle number occurs while the vehicle is entering, the vehicle is able to directly go out like a vehicle with a recognized number. |
