<p>An embodiment of the present invention relates to a discharge prevention device for a vehicle battery and a discharge prevention method using same. According to the present invention, an output power supply to an output end of a main battery is blocked in a case where the output power supply of the main battery is equal to or lower than a reference voltage value so that further battery consumption can be prevented and the vehicle can be restarted by using the remaining battery after a manual switch is turned on and an output of the main battery is re-connected. An embodiment of the present invention includes the main battery that can be charged and discharged and is disposed in the vehicle for power supply; a first voltage switch unit that controls power supply of the main battery; a power supply cutting unit that detects whether power supply output from the main battery drops to or below a predetermined first reference voltage value and turns off the first voltage switch unit and cuts power supply from the main battery in a case where the power supply output from the main battery drops to or below the first reference voltage value; and a second voltage switch unit that is turned on in a case where the power supply output from the main battery drops to or below the first reference voltage value and is electrically connected to the main battery. In a case where the power supply output from the main battery is equal to or lower than the first reference voltage value, the first voltage switch unit is turned off and the second voltage switch unit is manually turned on so that the vehicle is started by using the power supply remaining in the main battery.</p> |
