The present invention relates to a spiral flow type settling basin for treating rain water at an early stage. The settling basin includes: a settler into which pollutants included in rain water are deposited, which has a slope formed on a lower end portion, and which includes a hopper portion provided on the center of the lower end portion to collect the pollutants; an inlet pipe which is arranged vertically on the center of the settler, which has a lower part closed, and which has through holes formed on the outer peripheral surface, through which introduced rain water passes through; a spiral passage wall which surrounds the outer peripheral surface of the inlet pipe in a spiral form, and which induces rain water introduced from the inlet pipe into a spiral form; an inclined channel plate which extends from a lower end portion of the spiral passage wall, and extends to be inclined toward the inlet pipe to have an angle of at least 30 degrees with respect to the spiral passage wall; a weir provided on an upper part of the spiral passage wall; a scrapper section which includes a rotary shaft inserted into the inlet pipe by passing through the inlet pipe, a rotary plate provided on a lower end portion of the rotary shaft, spaced apart from the slope, and extending parallel with the slope, and a handle coupled to an upper end portion of the rotary shaft to rotate the rotary shaft; and a discharge pipe which is connected to the weir at a point where the spiral passage wall meets the settler. |
