<p>The transformer of the present invention comprises an external tank (1) delimiting a closed volume filled with oil. The tank includes vertical cooling fins (2), and the closed volume includes cavities located in the fins. Plates (3) in the shape of combs are set around the tank and include teeth penetrating between the fins. Side and front clearances separate the plates from the fins. The clearances have values lower than deformation values in free state of the fins subjected to a constraint greater than yield strength of the material. The fins are reinforced in a less complicated and inexpensive manner. The side clearances are determined, so that the fins touch the teeth before the fins reach elastic range while swelling according to contour for overpressure of the oil contained in the tank likely to be reached during certain tests or accidental circumstances, thus avoiding deformation of the fins and producing yield stress only if the overpressure of the oil is high.</p> |
