<p>A coating device for flexible webs (5) is shown and described having an applicator roll (13) which is driven in a rotational direction and is arranged adjacently to a transport path (7) of the flexible web (5), in order to transfer coating material (31) onto the flexible web (5) by way of contact, having elements (23, 53), by way of which the applicator roll (13) can be wetted with coating material (18) on a circumferential section (24), and having a wiping blade (25) which extends over the length of the applicator roll (13), bears against a bearing line (26) in a contact region (27) tangentially along said bearing line (26), and has depressions (49) on the side (41) which points towards the applicator roll (13), which depressions (49) run perpendicularly or at an angle of less than 90° with respect to the longitudinal axis (21) of the applicator roll (13). The coating device is characterized in that the wiping blade (25) is arranged in such a way that the bearing line (26) of the wiping blade (27) is spaced apart from the circumferential section (24) in the rotational direction (15).</p> |
