The present specification relates to a method for preparing a graft copolymer, and more specifically, to a method for preparing a graft copolymer which graft-polymerizes an aromatic vinyl compound and a vinyl cyanide compound to a rubber latex by inputting 0.0001 to 0.1 parts by weight of an initiator based on the sum 100 parts by weight of the rubber latex, the aromatic vinyl compound, and the vinyl cyanide compound and initiating graft copolymerization, and to the graft copolymer prepared by the same. According to the present specification, provided are the method for economically preparing the graft copolymer having excellent thermal stability, gloss characteristic, and impulse strength, and the graft copolymer prepared by the same. |
