A multi-view video decoding method disclosed by the present invention includes the following steps of determining whether the prediction mode of a decoded current block is a merge mode or not; composing a merge candidate list by adding at least one among an inter-view candidate, a spatial candidate, a disparity candidate, a view synthesis prediction candidate, and a temporal candidate as a merge candidate, by a predetermined priority if it is determined as the merge mode; and predicting a current block by selecting a merge candidate for being used in the prediction of the current block from the merge candidate list. In the step of composing the merge candidate list, the multi-view video decoding method has a fixed priority which determines whether to add the view synthesis prediction candidate for the current block as a merge candidate or not.
