<p>The present invention relates to a system and method for providing a service for user authentication. Provided is a USSD management device which includes a communication unit which performs communication through a communication network, a database which stores user information, a USSD message processing unit which compares user information with the corresponding user information stored in the database and determines whether the user information is identical to the corresponding user information if an authentication number request signal including the user information is received through the communication unit, generates an authentication number if the user information is identical to the corresponding user information, stores the authentication number in the database, and transmits a USSD message including the authentication number to a user terminal, an authentication processing unit which compares the authentication number with the corresponding authentication number stored in the database if the authentication request signal including the authentication number is received from the user terminal and transmits an authentication result message according to the comparison result to the user terminal, and a session management unit which connects and releases a session to transmit the USSD message to the user terminal.</p> |
