The present invention relates to a method for preventing fire damage to the painted surface of a ship. According to the method, a metalizing or metal spray process is performed by spraying metal on the surface of a ship shortly before straightening the ship deformed by welding. Therefore, heat damage to the painting and deformation caused by heat can be prevented. The method can improve physical properties of the welded surface of the ship, such as corrosion resistance, hardness, and durability, and extend the useful life of the ship.
