A device for generating ontology comprises a document input unit, a domain knowledge storage unit, a semantic model generation unit, and a semantic model storage unit. The document input unit receives a document and outputs the inputted document. Domain knowledge related to the inputted document is stored in the domain knowledge storage unit by using an ontology development 101 method. The semantic model generation unit receives the inputted document. The semantic model generation unit generates a semantic model of one or more inputted documents comprising one or more first instances of a first object concept which is previously determined in the domain knowledge storage unit and one or more second instances of a relation between second object concepts which are previously determined in the domain knowledge storage unit. The semantic model storage unit stores a semantic model of the inputted document.
