The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for repeating a signal of ATSC DTV broadcasting. The present invention simultaneously performs the efficient transmission of a pilot signal and equalizes transmission and reception frequencies while using an ICS type digital same channel repeat method with a coverage extension effect and a shadow area service complementation effect by receiving a repeat object signal, performing the frequency down-conversion of the received signal, dividing the down-converted signal into a first division signal and a second division signal, extracting a pilot signal from the first division signal, generating an interference cancellation signal by performing an interference cancellation system (ICS) operation for the second division signal, mixing the extracted pilot signal with the interference cancellation signal, and transmitting the mixed signal to a different device. |
