A floodgate apparatus for controlling fluid flow in a conduit 2, comprises a conduit attachment device 3, a floodgate frame means 10, and a floodgate member 20. The conduit attachment device 3 has an adjustable band member 4 adapted with a fastener 6, in use, for fastening the conduit attachment device 3 to the end section 2A of the conduit 2. The conduit attachment device 3 is provided with a flange 5 extending from the band member 4. The flange 5 is configured and arranged to be attachable to a floodgate frame means. The floodgate frame 10 includes a pivot point 17 for attaching a floodgate 20 thereto. The floodgate 20 is arranged to move between an open position for allowing, in use, fluid flow, and a closed position for arresting backflow of fluid. |
