Disclosed is a closure (1) for an easy opening container. The closure comprises a ring (2) having a flat support (13) connected via a ring wall (14) to an outer curl (12), located at a lower level than the ring, and a foil (3) adhered to the support. The foil is provided with a tab (4) comprising a folded part connected via an intermediate part (8) to a free end tab part (9). The tab is folded onto the foil. The foil further comprises a central concave section (5) and at least a flat section (6) beneath the intermediate tab part folded over an onto the flat foil section. The intermediate part of the tab is adhered to the foil such that after pressure builds up in the container, the tab remains attached to the foil within the confinement of the closure. |
