Disclosed is a permanent, semi-permanent or removable chair canopy (80) which attaches to a collapsible chair frame (88). The chair canopy (80) comprises of a canopy fabric rear panel, an overhead section with a front valance and side skirts on a tubular canopy support frame (86). A bracket (84a, 84b) mounted onto the rear uprights of the collapsible chair (88) also supports the rear upright members (94a, 94b) of the canopy support frame (86). The brackets (84a, 84b) have releasable adjustment means to allow the canopy uprights (94a, 94b) to slide downward for storage and upwards when erecting the canopy (80). The fabric is supported on the rear uprights (94a, 94b) and the front extension members (98a, 98b) of the canopy support frame (86). The canopy support frame (86) collapses with collapsing of the chair frame (88) for storage, and opens out when erecting the chair for use. |
