The present invention relates to a waterproof connector for an ear phone and a method for manufacturing the same. A housing (10) forms the appearance of the waterproof connector of the present invention. An inner space (12) is formed inside the housing (10). The inner space (12) communicates with the outside through an entrance (14) opened to a front end of the housing (10). A housing backplate (44) is integrally formed with the housing (10) in a rear surface of the housing (10) by an insert molding. When the housing backplate (44) is formed, a terminal (28) is integrally insert-molded and passes through the housing backplate (44). Accordingly, the terminal (28) passes through the housing (10), that is, the housing backplate (44) such that a front end thereof is located in the inner space (12) and a rear end thereof protrudes to the outside. In a process of installing the terminal (28) in the inner space (12) of the housing (10), a molding cover (30) is installed in the inner space (12). The molding cover (30) temporarily fixes the terminal (28) and simultaneously prevents a resin from being introduced into the inner space (12) in a process of forming the housing backplate (44). According to the present invention, it is possible to improve the waterproof performance of the waterproof connector and the waterproof performance of products using the waterproof connector. |
