A device and method for identifying estrus in production animals by detecting one or more standing mounts with a single device. The device comprises at least one first fluid storage reservoir (7) containing a first indicator fluid, at least one timing chamber (14) in fluid communication with the first reservoir outlet, wicking means in fluid communication with the timing chamber, a second fluid storage reservoir (8) containing a second indicator fluid, and animal attachment means (2) affixed to at least one of the first fluid storage reservoir, second fluid storage reservoir, timing chamber, and wicking means for attachment to an animal to allow the detection of at least two standing mounts. |
