PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical engagement type connector which has a simple structure, as well as being small and of low profile.SOLUTION: A connector includes a plurality of contacts 102 constituted by utilizing a plurality of conductor contact points provided to a first plate surface of an FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) 100 which is to be connected, a frame member 11 which has an opening size and a height capable of housing a mating side connector and is attached to a first plate surface of the FPC 100 so as to surround the plurality of contacts 102, and a plate-like member 13 provided to a second plate surface of the FPC 100 in a manner so as to cover a region corresponding to the plurality of contacts 102. The frame member 11 includes a lock hole part 11c which holds an engagement state by locking with a mating side lock claw part when engaging with the mating side connector. |
