PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition that exhibits rapid and complete drug release of tanaproget [5-(4,4-dimethyl-2-thioxo-1,4-dihydro-2H-3,1-benzoxazin-6-yl)-1H-pyrrole-2-carbonitrile] where tanaproget is a progesterone receptor modulator and effective in contraception, hormone replacement therapy, and treating carcinomas and adenocarcinomas, dysfunctional bleeding, uterine leiomyomata, endometriosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition contains micronized tanaproget or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or prodrugs in a form of ester or carbamate, with crystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, anhydrous lactose and magnesium stearate. The dosage form of the pharmaceutical composition containing micronized tanaproget is preferably tablets or capsules.
