<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a coating film of a socket inner face, in mounting a lock ring to the socket.SOLUTION: A jig 1 is used to prevent damage of an inner face coating film of a socket 11 in fitting a come-off prevention lock ring 51 of a pipe joint into a lock ring groove 12 formed on an inner periphery of the socket 11, and can cover the inner face of the socket 11 from an opening-side end face of the socket 11 to the lock ring groove 12 through a cutout portion 13a of a come-off prevention wall 13 positioned at an opening side of the socket 11 with respect to the lock ring groove 12. The jig 1 is formed by connecting an end face contact portion 2 along the opening-side end face of the socket 11 and an inner face contact portion 3 along the inner face of the socket 11, and has a magnet 4 attracted to the socket 11, on the end face contact portion 2 or the inner face contact portion 3. The lock ring 51 is fitted into the lock ring groove 12 in a state of covering the inner face of the socket 11 by the jig 1.</p> |
