a piezoelement configured to perform an axial activation; and a dividing wall that protects the piezoelement from an overflow of a medium from the fuel injector; wherein the dividing wall bears against an axial end of the piezoelement and extends transversely with respect to the direction of activation of the piezoelement, thereby prestressing the piezoelement in an axial direction.
