[Problem] To provide a feature amount calculator, feature amount calculation method, and recording medium that make it possible to extract, from a Doppler signal, a feature amount for more accurately recognizing the status of a moving body such as a human. [Solution] A feature amount calculator provided with an acquisition unit for acquiring a Doppler signal, an extraction unit for extracting a time-series signal comprising a prescribed frequency component from the Doppler signal acquired by the acquisition unit, a selection unit for selecting signal values at a prescribed time interval from the time-series signal extracted by the extraction unit, and a calculation unit for calculating higher-order local autocorrelation features on the basis of the signal values selected by the selection unit.
