<p>The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are a session management method, application function entity, policy server and protocol converter, the method comprising: when establishing an AF session with a policy server, an AF transmits to the policy server a first HTTP request message carrying AF session identifier information; the policy server saves the AF session identifier information, and sends to the AF a response to the first HTTP request message; when notifying the AF of a bearer layer event of the AF session, the policy server transmits to the AF a second HTTP request message carrying the AF session identifier information; and the AF sends to the policy server a response to the second HTTP request message. Also disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are an AF entity, policy server and protocol converter. The technical solution of the present invention enables real-time bi-directional information transmission between an AF and a PCRF or a PC based on HTTP.</p> |
