PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device for securing a distance between a recording head and a medium-for-recording appropriately and reliably with a simple mechanism, thus performing high-quality recording.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a recorded member feed device 2 for feeding a member-for-recording, by sheet, downstream; a recording head 13 for recording on the member-for-recording; a carriage 10 incorporating a recording head enabled to reciprocate in primary scanning directions along a carriage guide shaft 12; a transport roller 19 including a transport drive roller and a transport driven roller both for transporting the member-for-recording; and a member-for-recording stacker 50 enabled to hold first and second positions; and, further, a first link mechanism for shifting the carriage guide shaft in link with shifting the member-for-recording stacker. Further, the member-for-recording stacker holding the first position causes the carriage guide shaft to shift upward in link with the aforementioned holding, causing the carriage guide shaft to be unable to move downward as long as the member-for-recording stacker holds the first position. |
