The invention relates to a system for remote processing of prescriptions and/or other pharmaceutical services to be generally employed in the quick delivery of medical prescriptions to remote clients, through communication networks. According to the invention, the system is characterized in that it comprises a central server (2) as an intermediary and coordinator which can offer one or several of the following functions: receiving a medical prescription from a medical service supplier (3) and/or from a patient (4) and, in case it is able to identify one or several medicaments or products therefor, computing a current address of the patient (4) at the moment of receiving the medical prescription, based on the global positioning system (GPS) associated to a patient's mobile phone; determining and delivering the minimal cost, information for the patient about the closest real pharmacies (5) which can deliver the medical prescription and ordering the distribution of the requested medicaments or products for the patient (4); receiving from the patient (4) a selection of one or several real pharmacies (5) to deliver the medical prescription; and/or coordinating, by means of a financial processor (7) and an insurer (8), one or several financial transactions associated to the delivery of the medical prescription; and in that the delivery of the medicaments/products from the real pharmacy (5) selected by the patient (4) is made using some delivery boxes (9) located at the premises of the real pharmacies (5), which can be opened by scanning the bar code of the electronic prescription and the order confirmation by a pharmacy computer (5.1). |
