PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-cooled engine for a work machine, which can suitably suppress the temperature rise of a cylinder barrel, an exhaust muffler and a carburetor.SOLUTION: An air-cooled engine 20 for a work machine comprises a fan cover 35, a muffler protector 36 and an insulator 37. The fan cover 36 is provided with a guide opening 68 for guiding cooling air to an exhaust muffler 27. The muffler protector 36 is provided with a second air discharge opening 86 for discharging the cooling air, which is led from the guide opening 68 to a third guide path 72, in a direction away from a rammer device 11. In the insulator 37, a bent part 94 for guiding the cooling air, which is led to a fourth guide path 98, in a direction away from the rammer device 11 is bent to a carburetor 29 side. |
