[Class 87 (i)] [Also in Group XVIII] A rustless steel, iron or other metal stud or plate comprises upper and lower members b a adjustably separated by plates c, d of wood rubber, vulcanite, steel or other metal and se cured together by screws e. Co-operating projections f and recesses g are provided on the lower face of the upper member b and the upper face of the lower member a and on the faces of the separating members c, d, to prevent lateral displacement. Cement may be provided between the various members. A hollow extension may be provided to house the lower end of each screw e. The upper surface of the stud or plate may be formed as described in Specification 371,465.
