The purpose of the present invention is to provide a production method and production device for an acicular body, whereby filling to the distal end of protrusions is possible. Provided is a production method for an acicular body having a supporting substrate, and acicular protrusions on one surface of the supporting substrate, wherein the production method for an acicular body is characterized by including: a supply step in which an engraved plate having recessed portions corresponding to the protrusions is supplied with an acicular body-forming liquid of an acicular body-forming material dissolved or dispersed within a solvent; a drying step in which the acicular body-forming liquid within the engraved plate is dried to form an acicular body; and a peeling step in which the dried acicular body is peeled from the engraved plate, the supply step being conducted in a pressure environment of 0.05 MPa or below, and the drying step being conducted in a pressure environment of higher pressure than the pressure environment in the supply step. |
