The purpose of the invention is to achieve both the improvement of the function of preventing the tilt between housings and the reduction of the fitting resistance between the housings. A connector comprises: a substantially rectangular-shaped sealing ring (30), the four corners of which are each constituted by an arc-shaped portion (34); an ear-shaped projection (36) that is formed on the sealing ring (30) in the form of projecting toward the outer circumference along the arc-shaped portion (34) formed at each of the four corners and is elastically compressed and deformed between the back end surface (16S) of a fitting space (16) of a first housing (10) and the front end surface (22S) of a hood portion (22) of a second housing (20) when both the housings (10, 20) are fitted into each other, thereby restricting a clearance in the direction toward which both the housings (10, 20) are fitted into each other; and a plurality of pressure receiving portions (38A, 38B) formed by projecting a surface of the ear-shaped projection (36) and divided in a circumferential direction by a groove (39), said surface facing the hood portion (22). |
