Disclosed is a multi-viewpoint video decoding method, which comprises: a step of determining whether a prediction mode of a current block being decoded is a merge mode; a step of, when it is determined that the prediction mode of the current block being decoded is the merge mode, configuring a merge candidate list by adding at least one candidate among an inter-view candidate, a spatial candidate, a disparity candidate, a view synthesis prediction candidate, and a temporal candidate, as a merge candidate, according to a predetermined priority; and a step of predicting the current block by selecting a merge candidate to be used for the prediction of the current block in the merge candidate list, wherein in the step of configuring the merge candidate list, the priority for determining whether the view-point synthesis prediction candidate for the current block is added as the merge candidate is fixed. |
