ASH DEPOSITION DETECTION METHOD AND SYSTEM IN FINANCIAL PAPER RECOGNITION MODULE

An ash deposition detection method and system in a financial paper recognition module. The method comprises: Step 1. collecting spectral image information; Step 2. searching for an effective region in the spectral image; Step 3. retrieving an ash deposition feature; and Step 4. determining image ash deposition, and according to a determination result of whether ash deposition exists, giving a reminder to clean the ash deposition and ending or entering a process of paper recognition. In the detection method, an additional apparatus does not need to be added, and only ash deposition detection needs to be performed once on collected spectral image information in a device self-check process or before financial paper recognition, so as to come to a conclusion whether there is ash deposition. Therefore, the cost is low, the recognition reliability is high, and stability and reliability of an image signal of a recognition module sensor as well as precision of a financial paper recognition result are ensured.
