Abstract 1. A method and system for managing healthcare facility resources, the method comprising electronically 5 determining representative clinical times per patient per time period for each of a plurality of healthcare roles of one or more healthcare facilities from amounts of clinical time devoted to one or more patients by individuals in the respective healthcare roles. Also, a method and system 10 for managing healthcare facility resources, the method comprising: storing in a database representative clinical times per patient per time period for each of a plurality of healthcare roles of one or more healthcare facilities determined from amounts of clinical time devoted to one or 15 more patients by individuals in the respective healthcare roles; electronically receiving data indicative of expected patients of the one or more healthcare facilities for a specified time period, including patient data indicative of expected healthcare requirements of the 20 expected patients; electronically determining required clinical times of the healthcare roles for the expected patients from the representative clinical times and the patient data of the expected patients; and determining a number of individuals required in each of the roles during 25 the specified time period in order to provide the required clinical times of the healthcare roles. |
