PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-extinguishing method in a sodium-sulfur battery capable of extinguishing fire occurring in a sodium-sulfur battery in a shorter time, without requiring maintenance and management of an extinguishing agent in dry state.SOLUTION: In a fire-extinguishing method of a sodium-sulfur battery, a packed bed of zeolite having a sodium ion trapping ability is provided entirely in a case housing a collective battery group constituted of sodium-sulfur batteries, and the sodium flowing from the battery upon occurrence of fire accident is trapped by the zeolite. |
