PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a masking tool which does not fall off from a hole even after heating despite being inexpensive.SOLUTION: A masking tool is used for protecting the deep end part of a hole provided on a coating object from coating. The masking tool 1 has a core bar 2, a disc body 3 provided on one end of the core bar 2, and a pair of fixed discs 4, 4 installed on the core bar 2 so as to hold the disc body 3 in between. The diameter of the pair of fixed discs 4, 4 is made to be smaller than the inner diameter of the hole. A biasing member 33 is loaded inside the disc body 3. The masking tool is configured to make the disc body 3 freely changeable to the modes of diameters smaller and larger than the inner diameter of the hole by the biasing force of the biasing member and also is configured to pressure-contact the outer peripheral face of the disc body 3 on the inner peripheral face of the hole in the mode of larger diameter than the inner diameter of the hole. Further, a protective body 5 is freely changeably installed at a position near the other end side on the core bar 2 apart from the disc body 3 and the fixed disc 4 to protect at least one of the core bar 2, disc body 3 and fixed disc 4 from coating. |
