<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which prevents increase in power consumption even if processing for increasing audio output is performed,.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal television allows the total power consumption to be shared between "backlight power" and "speaker power", and controls the upper limit (volume upper limit) of audio output and the upper limit of backlight output in association. In other words, power to be consumed that has become surplus power with dimming of backlight is applied to speaker audio output to thereby increase the upper limit of the speaker output. At this time, since the power that has become surplus power by dimming the backlight is applied, power consumption is prevented from being increased due to this processing compared to ordinary liquid crystal televisions.</p> |
