<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow radio notification to a remote monitoring center even in a case of bad radio communication environment when a monitoring device installed to each of a plurality of escalators makes abnormality notification.SOLUTION: An escalator monitoring system includes a plurality of escalators 10, a monitoring device 30 which detects and notifies abnormality of an escalator, and a radio communication device 40 which performs radio communication with a monitoring center 70 about abnormality notification of an escalator. The monitoring device 30 includes an own unit switch 33, a maximum unit switch 34, and a notification process unit 31 which sends notification containing abnormality notification to the radio communication device. Between the notification process units 31, a cable communication line 80 is provided which allows alternation of abnormality notification. The notification process unit 31, in a case where impossibility of radio communication occurs about abnormality notification with one radio communication device 40, transmits abnormality notification from other notification process unit by requesting notification from other radio process unit 31 in the monitoring device, using the own unit switch 33 and the maximum unit switch 34 through the cable communication line 80.</p> |
