The embodiments of the present invention provide an image enhancement method, comprising: based on an original pixel value of a target pixel point, calculating a centre response value of the target pixel point; calculating a first total inhibiting value of the target pixel point, wherein the first total inhibiting value is a sum of inhibiting values of all neighbourhood pixel points of the target pixel point on the target pixel point, the neighbourhood pixel points are those specified as the target pixel point in advance, and the inhibiting values of the neighbourhood pixel points on the target pixel point refer to the values expressed by an inhibiting effect of the neighbourhood pixel points on the target pixel point; when the centre response value is greater than the first total inhibiting value, subtracting the first total inhibiting value from the centre response value to obtain a difference value, and taking the difference value as a pixel value of the target pixel point after image enhancement; and when the centre response value is less than the first total inhibiting value, taking 0 as the pixel value of the target pixel point after image enhancement. Accordingly, the embodiments of the present invention also disclose an image enhancement device. By using the embodiments of the present invention, a more nuanced image after enhancement can be realized. |
