<p>A flexible thread-like cutting element achieves a smooth and sharp cutting action by utilizing a power tool or manual tool capable of developing a reciprocating motion that alternatively reciprocates the ends of the cutting element. The tool may include a mechanism for converting rotational motion into reciprocating motion. The reciprocating motion is transferred to the cutting element to develop the cutting action of the device. In another aspect, the power tool or manual can be encased in a disposable, sterile protective bag to simplify sterilization.</p> |
