<p>A cryogenic hydrocarbon composition, obtained by subjecting a raw liquefied hydrocarbon stream to a pressure reduction step, is first separated into a vaporous reject stream and a liquid stream. The liquid stream is discharged in the form of the liquefied hydrocarbon stream. The vaporous reject stream is recompressed, partially condensed by indirectly heat exchanging the compressed vapour stream against an auxiliary refrigerant stream, and separated. The condensed fraction is revaporized and combusted in a gas turbine. The vapour fraction, which generally has a higher nitrogen content and a lower heating value than the condensed fraction, is combusted in a combustion device other than a gas turbine. The auxiliary refrigerant stream is formed by a slip stream of the liquefied hydrocarbon stream.</p> |
