1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
monitoring inputs to a weather information system, wherein each input is received from an entity and is associated with a geographic region; assigning a threshold to the geographic region, wherein the threshold represents a statistically determined input level for the geographic region; determining a presence of a weather event in proximity to the geographic region by comparing the inputs for the geographic region with the threshold for the geographic region; and generating, a signal indicative of the presence of the weather event in proximity to the geographic region if the inputs for the geographic region exceeds the threshold for the geographic region. |
