The invention relates to a parallel displacement electrohydraulic unit with functional symmetry consisting of a hydraulic cylinder with one-way rod developing a force and having an unchanged speed in both moving directions, the supply source being a low-voltage current source. According to the invention, the unit comprises a tube-shaped rod (1) sliding between a fixed piston (2) and a cylinder sheathing (3) having mounted inside a reversing gear pump (4) driven by a D.C. motor (6), by means of a coupling (5), where, by reversing the polarity of the electric supply current, the sense of rotation of the pump (4) and the sense of circulation of the working fluid between some chambers (a and b) is changed, making the rod (1) come out or retract, with a view to achieving a compact and independent construction.
