The invention relates to plasmochemical metallurgy, in particular, to devices for the plasma processing of powdered raw material which contains metal, metal direct reduction and producing superdispersed metal powder and compounds thereof. An invention method is characterized in that a hollow cylindrical cathode and anode mounted on the central axis of the furnace, the cathode is mounted in the upper cover and serves simultaneously as a discharge nozzle of flash (discharge) chamber furnace. A plasma flow generated in the discharge chamber of the furnace is directed via the cathode providing conditions to generate D.C. between the cathode and the anode. The design features provide to implement different schemes of connecting D.C. to the cathode and the anode. A feed product is inputted via the discharge chamber of the furnace, the finished product is collected through the bottom of the melting chamber. The technical result is aimed at eliminating limits to a value of injecting electric power to the plasma furnace and increasing efficiency of raw material processing. |
