PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display module formed integrally with portable computing devices such as laptop computers, tablet computers, and the like.SOLUTION: A display module 225 can include a protective top glass cover 106 that is bonded to a plastic display frame 200 and surrounded by a seal frame 108. The display module 225 can also include a display panel 224 and its associated circuitry 226 suspended from the display frame below the protective glass cover. The display module 225 is coupled to a single piece housing 102 using mounting clips 212 in a manner that allows the display module 225 to move relative to the single piece housing 102 during an impact event. The plastic display frame 200 can include inserts that provide structural support near openings in the single piece housing 102.
